A second quantum revolution is currently emerging: these technologies are based on the precise control of quantum states, use effects such as superposition and entanglement in a targeted manner and have the potential to revolutionize areas such as communication, medicine and navigation - if the transfer from the laboratory to the compact, robust and energy-efficient products succeed. In the international network, the focus is on the development and industrialization of quantum sensors and key components for quantum technologies.
